Welcome to the Benefice of Atworth with Shaw and Whitley. We are two parishes that meet together as one church community for worship, prayer and celebration.

Our services on a Sunday are both traditional at 9.30 a.m. and contemporary at 11.00 a.m. We also regularly enjoy Messy Church in Shaw school. Although we are not a large community we are committed to reaching out and bringing the love of Christ to those we live and work alongside. Families are very welcome to join us for our services - there is special provision at the service in term time for children to learn together, pray together and have fun as they explore God’s heart for the world. On the third Sunday in each month we hold our Let's Celebrate Together service in Atworth - an opportunity for all ages  to worship together as we use our creative ability in craft, music, prayer and hearing God's word.

We are blessed by the use of two church buildings - St Michael and All Angels, Atworth and Christ Church, Shaw. St Michael’s in Atworth is tucked away at one end of the village and has stunning views of the countryside. Christ Church, Shaw with its splendid interior is highly visible on the junction for Melksham, Corsham and Bath. You are most welcome to come and visit at any time either to spend time in quiet reflection or join us for one of our services on a Sunday or mid-week.

Our faith is not only about Sundays and where and how we worship. We also enjoy times of fellowship together through our Life groups, through social events and as we actively participate in the wider community. We would love to welcome you too!

Every blessing
