The Benefice of Atworth with Shaw and Whitley
It is wonderful that you have found us online! We are one worshiping community that share two beautiful Church buildings. Our community is made up of people from all ages and backgrounds, from our beautiful villages and further afield. We are a Church who welcomes everyone, and believes that God's desire is that all would know God's love through Jesus. We seek to love and serve our local community and be a witness to this incredible love and hope.
We know that coming through the doors for the first time can seem daunting. Whatever your worries may be, we hope that you will give it a try! You will discover that we are all muddling through life but with the knowledge that we are never alone, always deeply loved and that lives can be transformed with God. When you come to Church you discover an extended family.
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is Good; His love endures forever."

Light up a Life Service
You are invited to join us at Christ Church, Shaw on Sunday 29th October at 3pm
We will be remembering all those who are dear to us and who have died. The celebration
will include music and poems chosen by some of those recently bereaved. There will be an
opportunity for quiet reflection and to light a candle in memory of your loved ones and to
write their name in our book of remembrance.
After the service there is a chance to share memories over a cup of tea/coffee and cakes.
For those of you who wish, Rev’d Jane would be very happy to pray with you in our Lady
